I cannot tell you what the law is where you live, and I will not try — that is a question for an attorney licensed in your state. I also do not give one-to-one advice on repairing or modifying a specific firearm. If something is wrong with the mechanism that stops your gun firing, that belongs to a licensed gunsmith, and Chapter 21 explains why.
